Advent House of Perinton
Advent House of Perinton is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership corporation that operates Advent House. Advent House is a two bed comfort care home at 1010 Moseley Road in Fairport, New York. With dedicated paid staff and many volunteers, Advent House provides a loving and supportive homelike living environment for the terminally ill. Thanks to our many generous friends and supporting churches, there is no charge for stays at Advent House.
Advent House of Perinton also operates a resale boutique, Sweet Charity, located in the Whitney Town Center at 650 Whitney Road, Fairport, NY. All goods in the shop are donated, and net sale proceeds are a vital source of funding for the ministry of Advent House. Donations of quality used furniture and household furnishings are always welcome.
Twelve Perinton-area churches are the members of Advent House of Perinton. Each member church appoints a representative to serve as a director on the board, in addition to several at-large directors.
Ecumenical Ministries of Perinton, Inc.
Ecumenical Ministries of Perinton, Inc. ("EMP") is a 501(c)(3) non-profit membership corporation established in 1999 to serve as the umbrella for various community ministries that it sponsors. EMP also serves as an incubator for new and growing ministries/services, providing guidance and oversight.
Like its sister corporation Advent House of Perinton, EMP has 12 Perinton-area churches comprising its membership. Each member church appoints a representative to serve as a director on the board, in addition to several at-large directors.
EMP board members serve as liaisons between the sponsored ministries and the leadership and congregations of the member churches.
EMP's currently sponsored ministries are Prison Ministry of Upstate New York, the Fairport Good Neighbor Fund, and Perinton Congregations for Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity.
